In its mobile configuration, the Esch 22 Space Station transforms into a sleek stainless steel trailer, equipped with essential amenities including a bath, kitchen, and dining space. Upon arrival at its destination, the station undergoes a remarkable metamorphosis: two wings gracefully unfold to reveal a spacious circular platform, crowned with a cork cover, while a double-shell pneumatic dome inflates to create a cozy sleeping space.

Beyond its functional prowess, the Esch 22 Space Station serves as a thought-provoking symbol of resource consciousness. By challenging traditional notions of architecture and technology, it prompts reflection on our society’s relationship with vital resources such as soil, water, and energy. Completed in 2022 in Esch Sur Alzette, Luxembourg, this visionary project embodies the intersection of design, sustainability, and cultural exploration, inviting visitors to embark on a journey of discovery amidst the ever-evolving urban landscape of Esch.
